Learning About Exponents

Here is a fun little video to help you remember how to work with exponents.

Summer Reading

Now that school is over for the summer - I may will have time to read!  This book is on the top of my pile of books to read.
I love the idea of using math stations, but have honestly been at a loss in finding activities that were suitable for 7th grade, so when I saw this book on another blog I immediately added it to my Amazon wish list, and promptly purchased it after a few days of thinking about it.  My kiddos loved hands on activities last year, and I think math stations will be a big hit next year!

What is on your reading list this summer?

Robots in The Future?

Using the statistics in the picture above, answer the following questions:

1. There are about 34 kids in our class.  Using the statistics above, how many of us would like to learn with robots? How many of us would like a robot to help with our chores?  I know I would! :)

2. What else do you notice about these statistics?

Humor Me - I am Testing Out This Sticky Note Website

I am testing out this website to add sticky note comments on-line for possible use in my math class next year.  My wheels are spinning I tell you! LOL!  Would you mind adding a sticky to this board to help me test it out?

If anyone else has used this and has some tips I would love to hear them!
